Born in Melbourne in 1981, Johanna Craven completed a Bachelor of Music degree in composition, studying under renowned Australian composers Brenton Broadstock and Stuart Greenbaum.
She has scored numerous independent short and feature films including David King's sci-fi thrller Purge, which has obtained world-wide distribution through Troma Entertainment, New York. Johanna's work has appeared in many Australian and international festivals including the World of Women Film Festival (The Usherette), St Kilda Film Festival (The Favour) Melbourne Underground Film Festival (Purge) as well as independent screeings in London and Los Angeles.

Johanna has written for a variety of theatre styles including musical comedy (What About Us?), opera (This Side of New York), installations (Arcadia, Lamb of God) and play underscores (Dog's Barking).
In 2006 Johanna travelled to Los Angeles to study film scoring under renowned screen composers such as Thom Sharpe and Robert Drasnin.
Johanna is currently based in London. She works as a freelance media composer and is available to compose for film, theatre and other audio-visual poductions.
